GS  Google Sheets integration

Google Sheets + AI phone agent: your spreadsheet becomes a live database

Customer lists, price lists, stock, job tickets. If it lives in a Google Sheet, your AI agent can read it during a call, add a new row for every request, and update a row when something changes.

  • Set up in minutes, no code
  • Permissions per action
  • Works with every AI agent
What the agent can do

Four actions, each one under your control

Every Google Sheets tool does one of these jobs. Create one tool per job and give your agent only the ones it needs.

Read a row

Find a customer, product or order by any column you choose, such as phone number or order ID.

Create a row

Log a new lead, callback request or order with the details the caller gave.

Update a row

Change a status, add a note or confirm a time on an existing row.

Remove a row

Available if you need it, off unless you turn it on.

On a real call

What it sounds like to your callers

A regular customer calls.

The agent searches the Phone column, greets them by name and sees their plan.

“Do you have the blue one in size 10?”

It reads the stock sheet and answers with the current quantity.

A new enquiry comes in after hours.

It adds a row with name, number and reason, ready for the morning.

Setup

Connect Google Sheets in four steps

  1. Prepare your sheet

Use a header row. The column names become the fields the agent understands.

  2. Connect with Google

Choose Google Sheets in the Tools connector and sign in.

  3. Pick the sheet and fields

Select the spreadsheet, the tab, the fields to use and the field to search by.

  4. Test and save

Run a test lookup, check the result, and add the tool to your agent.

FAQ

Google Sheets questions

Still unsure about something? Ask us directly

Does the agent see the latest data?

Yes. It reads the sheet at the moment it needs the information, during the call, so edits your team made a minute ago are included.

Can I limit which columns the agent sees?

Yes. In the “Choose data and fields” step you select the fields the tool may use. Columns you leave out are never sent to the agent.

Is Google Sheets good enough as a database?

For many small businesses, absolutely. When you outgrow it, the same approach works with Airtable, NocoDB, Supabase or MySQL.
